Entertain Your Guests at Halftime

Don’t let the football players on television have all the fun at your next football or Super Bowl party. Plan a few activities to give your guests something to do during halftime, besides eating more buffalo wings. Stock up on enough fun prizes such as footballs, pennants, drink cups, and team clothing items so that everyone will go home feeling like a winner.

The traditional Super Bowl Party is probably the least fussy, most unpretentious party you can host all year. So, there is no point in holding anything back! Go all out and serve everyone’s favorite high fat, finger-licking snack foods. After all, your television set is the focal point, not the food. Or is it?

Whether you’re planning a Super Bowl party out of love for the game or just the desire to host a fun, relaxing party, here are tips for making this a super bash:

Like many people, you probably made some New Year’s resolutions. Perhaps you promised yourself that you’ll visit the gym more often or learn a new language or reconnect with a long-lost friend. It’s not uncommon for a first-time home buyer to say to me, “Gosh, just last week I called you about buying a home and now I’m in escrow! How did this happen so fast?”
The answer is it didn’t. First-time home buyers start the search long before most even realize it.

The week between Christmas and New Year’s is filled with bargain hunting at after-Christmas sales, gift exchanges and returns, parties – and leftovers! Most of us have turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, roast beef, or cranberry sauce sitting in the refrigerator, covered with foil and plastic wrap. And lots of candy canes on the tree.
This week I will be posting some delicious recipe ideas using the remains of your Christmas feast to make wonderful meals and treats. They are, of course, good enough to serve to company. But also treat your family to a warm, comforting meal on one of the cold and crisp days after Christmas.

My Turkey Mornay is an after-Thanksgiving classic from my family. (more…)

Merry Christmas
From
The Sac Chef

The Sac Chef’s Christmas 2009 message
Thanks
Most importantly, a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me and my business throughout 2009, particularly my best friend, Scott who has been along side me on the roller coaster ride. I would also love to thank all of my supportive “sales force” in BNI and the RCC. The support and networking you all did for me was “GREAT” (attn: Brian Sharp)!
It has been great getting to know some new customers this year, as well as catching up with old customers who have now become repeat customers! Champions! If you’ve been thinking about hosting a party in 2010, I’d love to hear from you, and have the opportunity to “Pamper” you something special.
I started this blog the weekend before Halloween. Since then i have created 165 posts which led to over 950 visiting readers on this website. THANK YOU all for visiting my site. This would not have been born without the special advice from John Lisle at BIZFEST and the amazing talent of Stephanie Urzi who created my brand and logo. A special thanks again to Scott Seviour, I would not be here if not for his website design work.
Have a great holiday…..Cheers!
Brian Bentzen

I am not exactly sure what most people eat for breakfast on Christmas morning. There is often a lot of talk about dinner: roasts and hams, traditional side dishes, and glittering desserts. But the day has to start somehow; you can’t dig through stockings and unwrap presents on an empty stomach. And it’s Christmas, so it better be special.

Once thanksgiving has come and gone, and the food coma has dissipated (hopefully!), one is faced with the next big thing–leftovers.
Who doesn’t love turkey leftovers? I do! But having overdosed on one too many turkey sandwiches and turkey tetrazzinis, I’m looking for a turkey leftover makeover. My solution? Reincarnate the turkey into new dishes.
Just like grandmas and mothers everywhere are experts at improv in the kitchen, let your creativity run (turkey) wild. Hint: you can use leftover turkey in just about any recipe that calls for chicken bits.
Here’s my tip for today
